Spotify: Mandopop Memories

Mandopop has been with listeners in every milestone of their lives - from their first romances to entering the working world for the first time.

To celebrate 10 years of Spotify in Taiwan, we started the #MyMandopopMemory challenge that transported listeners back to the good ol’ days while helping them create new memories to look back to. The best part? Everyone’s favourite Mandopop artists were in on the reminiscing too!

Through content pieces that trigger oh-so-good nostalgic feels and ones that introduce emerging music, we celebrate the diverse stories of artists and listeners 10 years into the past and future.

With Facebook as the main social platform in Taiwan, we started a challenge that prompted listeners to share a “Mandopop Memory” triggered by our prompts.
We divided the campaign into 3 phases with listeners first participating in the challenge, followed by artists, then more UGCs on Facebook Stories that we amplified using our own Mandopop Memories stickers.
